clutch fork shaft pins

I bough two clutch fork pins from the YTMAG website to use on a Ford 640 rebuild.

Has anyone tried these? The removed pins were a very tight fit. I feel like I may have to try and reuse them even though I had to grind one down to get it out as it was so deformed.

The purchased pins are very loose in both the clutch fork and the shift lever of the side of the tractor where it comes out of the tractor bell housing near a person's left foot.

Has anyone tried these pins and are they too small? I hate to return more hardware but I may have to come up with another plan.

thanks in advance, moday

I've run into many new parts not exact either. I'm guessing your LH bracket may be cracked so your replacing it ? I wanted to remove mine, but couldn't tell if the pin was tapered or not. Pounded on it a little (to remove and clean around that area) but it didn't move so I left. With engine off thought about removing the Shift Fork pin, but didn't want to risk it. My 53-59 Parts book shows two pins. One for my 53 Jube (two each) and the other for a 55-58. (two each) 352611-S 3/8 x 1- 7/8. Is that the pin you got ?

I ordered the ones off YTMGAG. 178203.....part number. I think maybe they are to be peened over. I'm going to make a new post about that....The ones I took off had to have material ground off to be able to pound them out. the shift lever, I grinded both sides as I didn't know if the pin was tapered. The fork pin, still has a head but not material to peen over. I think I peen the shift lever but the fork pin may be a bit difficult. Maybe an air hammer or maybe I just go find a bolt....not sure of my next step yet. thanks
