Question about Ford 640 brakes

Is there any way to check the brake shoes on a ford 640 without pulling the wheels and tires? I've owned the tractor for ten years but have never been into the brakes. They are stopping okay, no grinding or metal-on-metal sound, but there is a squeak from the right side. I don't mind doing the work, but I do hate to have to pull those wheels (working by myself) if doing so is not needed.

I have had three four cylinder Fords and I never found a way.

Thanks for the reply. I figured there was no way to check the brakes other than to pull the wheel/tire, but there are a lot of experienced people on this forum. You never know but what somebody has figured out an easier way.
