Idea for cold weather diesel starts. DUH, This is so sim

OMG. this enables my '66 Ford 4500 diesel to start like it a hot summer day. Borrowed wife's blow dryer and stuck it in the air intake hose on Hi heat, high speed. Starts up like its summer.

I suppose you could do that every time you start it in cold weather. If it was me, I'd simply add a thermostart to the intake manifold. The
effect is the same and it would take far less time to get the engine started every morning. Unless of course the wife lets you keep the blow
dryer.

Bern,

My tractor is only used occasionally to clear heavy snow or break up ice covered gravel driveway.

Yes, she gave my her old hair dryer.
