Hey guys, Is the starter ring gear reversible on the 3000 diesel? My manual just talks about replacement procedure. Thanks

More than likely it can, but why do that?
Ring gears are not all that expensive, and as long as you have it split spend a few bucks and do it right.

For us it was cheaper to get a new ring gear. The ring gear had to come off anyway.

If your original ring gear was beveled on one side only, then technically no, it's not reversible.
