641 dash light

Greetings, I had the steering box replaced on my 6v original tractor. Prior to working on the tractor there was a red light on the dash that lit red when the key was turned on. The light went out once the tractor was started and when the tractor was shut off the light flickered until the motor stopped. On replacing the steering box the mechanic disconnected and removed the wires from this light under the dash. Any ideas on where these wires came from? I left the key on and discharged my battery because the red warning light didn't work. Thanks for your help. Gary
 
It sounds like the charge warning light. If it has the original 6 volt system, then on wire should connect to the switched side of the terminal block and the other wire should connect to the "A" (Armature) terminal on the voltage regulator along with another wire that goes from the regulator to the the "A" terminal on the generator itself.
