8000 thermostat

(quoted from post at 20:16:52 02/26/22) Does that also apply to my 841? I found a 195deg at o'Reilly auto parts.

Is your 841 gas or diesel? I would go with 168 for a gas if the tractor is located where it gets hot in the summer and maybe 180 at the highest if it's in a cooler climate. If it's a diesel then go as hot as you can find no matter what the climate.

I run a 188 on my 3910 Diesel and it puts the stat right at the red line when it opens. Engine runs great and haven't had any
problems with overheating....moving on over into the red area. My 3000D uses a 168 or something in about that range....tstat
opening is the center of the white area. I stays put too. If I ever change out he water pump I'll put a 188 in it too.
