Ford 801 question

Yooper Rod

New User
I recently purchased a Ford 801, powermaster. The series is an 861. The serial number is 3193. The radiator has a NDA-B over the letter L, there is a stamped date of 10 57. My question is this a 1958 model that was manufactured in October of 1957?
The reason I am asking is, that my local auto supply can can supply me with front wheel bearings, races and seals if it was made after 2/57.

I think of the 801 series between 1958-62 and the 800 series between 1954-57. So your would be a 1958 801 series, model 861 and was build in Oct 1957.

With that say it is still important to remember that there were changes that occurred in the 801 series. For example, your transmission has the splines like
the 800 series tractors.
Here are some of the changes by serial numbers;
Prior to 14,257 NCA/NDA-2458 Shaft - Brake Pedal Cross
After 14,256 Shaft - Brake Pedal Cross
Prior to 14,257 NDA-7515-B Fork-Clutch Release Shaft-5 speed trans
After 14,256 *-7515-B (311649) Fork-Clutch Release Shaft-5 speed trans
Prior to 48,642 series 800 4236 Gear - Rear Axle Differential Side
After 48,641 series 801,1801 4236 313208 Gear - Rear Axle Differential Side
Prior to 54,166 series 800,801,1801 NDA-4609-B Gear Assy-Rear Axle Drive Pinion
