I have an early 1994 Ford 3930 agricultural tractor with a 8x8 synchro shuttle trans (that was built by Kubota) that I cooked last year. I'm told that good replacement parts for that transmission are practically impossible to find.
The best recommendation given is to swap in an 8x2 trans and its rear axle center housing along with its gears and pto.
Data for the damaged tractor: Tractor#BD69660; Model# CA51WX; Unit# 4C18B; Trans Case# 41V
Cooking the trans was my fault for not realizing the case had developed a crack and the trans oil was leaking out of the self-contained compartment.
Any experiences/comments/cautions on going this route? It worked so good until it didnt! Located near Greensboro, NC
Will an 8x2 trans bolt up to the motor/clutch plate, etc? Will my left and right rear wheel assemblies bolt up to a rear axle center housing for the 8x2 trans?
