Alternator light quit working

I finally got my 3000 ford diesel heat and fuel gauge working. Then my alternator light would not work. Checked the alternator and it wasn't charging. Two weeks later the parts re-builder had it fixed. Got it on the tractor and the light still won't work. Swapped bulbs with the oil light and the bulb is good. The previous owner or owners did a bunch of splicing wires in there[twisted together with wire nuts]. Where is the wire for the light supposed to be hooked up or where does it run to? Thanks for any help.

S OLD AS A 3000 IS, i MUST ASK WHICH ALTERNATOR IS ON YOUR TRACTOR?

That tractor originally had a generator with an external voltage regulator, so it's hard to say how it might have been rewired for the charge light to work with an alternator conversion.

It has LUCAS and England on the end cap. Putting out 14.5 volts now. I probably pulled a wire loose somewhere. Some of the spliced in wires are pretty short. Whoever did it must have been short on used wire.

Yes it was working with the alternator before I changed out the voltage stabilizer, I'm sure I messed up a wire connection.

I've never seen an alternator conversion done with a Lucas alternator. How many wires does the alternator have and where do they go?

I don't know if this will help, but here is the schematic of my 1974 MGB with a Lucas alternator.

(quoted from post at 06:00:26 11/01/21) How about pictures of the alternator and the regulator.
r just comment on these three items, Lucas Generator, Lucas Alternator, GM/Delco Remy 10-SI, the most common alternator used in 12v tractor conversions.

(quoted from post at 19:10:26 11/21/21) Sorry, been very busy at work, short handed. Here are the pictures of my alternator.

est I can see in pictures, that does not even look like the Lucas alternator that Ford used on their tractors when they did use Lucas alternators. You need to dig up info on that particular alt & how such was wired.
