Two bottom plow tripping

I have a 1947 2N Ford tractor, it has a three point hitch and I have a two bottom plow attached to it that I was filling up my garden. My neighbor loaned it to me. It worked fine for a while, but it started to trip oh, and I could back up and get it into place, even hear it click, but then as soon as I start plowing it would trip back out. It's on the left. What am I looking forward to fix this

You're probably looking for a grease gun. Look for some grease fittings at the rear of the tripping mechanism and give them a couple pumps each.

Since you are backing up to reset means spring trip. The spring is not adjusted correctly, or weak spring, or plow is not adjusted correctly and that bottom is taking more of a bit and in heavier
soil will trip easier then the other bottom. Should be a nut to adjust the spring I would tighten a bit but don't over do it you don't want to break his share cause it didn't trip when you hit a
rock. Adjust your toplink to make sure bottoms are entering the ground at the same time.

Take your tape measure and measure the compressed length of the springs and compare between bottoms.

If this is a manual reset, Ford 101 plow, the procedure is in the book on how to adjust it and to be honest, it is a fairly
simple adjustment to make, assuming nothing else is wrong. I recently adjusted the last bottom on mine, was doing the same
thing. The other thing is, plow adjustment to the tractor, it should be level each way, if the shares are nosed down, and are
not worn, like new, even more so. My 101 2 bottom, for some reason wants to do this, even with the top link adjusted way out.
My shear bolt protected ford 110 single bottom just glides through the furrow, to trip it, has to hit roots or rock, ledge,
etc. other wise pulls so easily, with proper adjustment to the tractor.
