More hyd valve questions??

Do any of you have an idea how to get the slotted hex head to turn to change this valve from 1 way to 2 way? I have tried a 7/16" wrench but only succeeded in rounding it off. I tried a hammer impact but there is not much room for a hammer. Is it possible to apply a little heat w/out ruining anything?
I think it has to turn clockwise as you look at it.
Any help will be MUCH appreciated!!

No ideas??
 
6 point socket on a small 3/8 battery impact gun and a lot of
penetrating oil and waiting in between trying.
Then I turned it back and forth a little at a time.
It also may have helped that I cleaned the paint off.
That's how I got mine to come free.
 
Thanks Royce. I'll try that, but guess what I meant to get when we went to town this morning! I'm out of a good penetrant!
 
A "good" 6 point wrench should be able to turn it. I might tap it a little with a brass hammer or punch to break the paint loose and shock it a little.
