Ford 3000 Sims Injector pump

I've rebuilt my share of those pumps. Most parts are still fairly easy to find. Myself, I'd keep the inline pump. In my opinion it is more rugged and reliable than the rotary. Converting it to rotary would require replacing the timing gear as well as the mounting plate, which would require disassembly of the front part of the engine.
 
I would stick with the sims, they are easy to rebuild however I have found the 3 cyl gasket kit to be more expensive than the 4 cyl so I bought the 4 cyl off ebay and it came with everything I needed. I did have to make the gasket for the rear seal cover but that is easy and it really doesn't do anything but keep the seal safe.
just make sure everything you take apart goes back together the same way. the throttle and stop levers have shims.
