ID of a Ford engine

I have a Ford gas industrial engine,I would like to know just what it is before trying to find a PTO clutch setup for it.I did get the numbers on the right side, the cast in ones. They are,CONN 6015J.There are no stampings in the pan rail like I have on an old backhoe, but this was never a tractor engine. There is another number on the other side, but I seem to remember that is just a casting code. That number is 7F19.

7F19 sounds like a date code. If so, I would say that engine was built in 1967. That said, C0NN is 7 years away from that, but I suppose it's possible since the C0NN number is a casting number which indicates primarily the design year, not the production year.

172 cid 4 cyl power unit/ industrail engine. Its 1960 enginnering number 7F19 is cast date of 1967 june ninetenth. May be fun finding a Twin-Disc or Rockford unit that old.

Thank you. This engine had been redone for something and stored in a shop when the owner passed away.I bought it because the scrap boys come across seized Ford power units the most. They were pretty popular on small chippers around here.Of course, now that I will be looking for one none will show up.This does have an industrial bellhousing on it,but it only has a 7 bolt circle. It looks like it should be 8,but it has a cutout for the starter. It also has allen headed head bolts. Is this normal or is it something done by the rebuilder.I would like to use this engine on a chipper I have. While I really don't care what kind of engine I use,I do like these old Ford industrials.

310609 would possibly be engineering for 1957. C0NN is code for 3rd gen 0 is for 1960 N is for north america N is tractor

C0NN 6015J is a 172 engine first use on the 801/901 series in 1960, my 62 model 881 had this block number
Ford continued to make these engines for industrial use up into the 70s, my brother has one from a screw air compressor with a D3NN casting number making it a 73 or later engine
