Ford Auxiliary valve 311805

Greetings,

I was able to secure Ford part number 311805 to operate an angle
blade cylinder and found that this is a single-acting valve despite
having two hoses. Would someone please confirm?
As an example, when properly hooked up to this blade, it would
hydraulically angle the blade one way, but not be able to return it the
other direction.
I imagine this valve was designed for plows/discs/other equipment that
could be driven to the ground by gravity.
Any ideas, other than purchasing another two-way acting valve?
I imagine there is not a way to convert this OEM part to function
otherwise.
Thank you for your time!

(quoted from post at 17:34:16 10/02/21) Try turning rod that the red arrow is pointing to... it should function as double acting, then.

Yep! Screw that rod in tight! The valve is supposed to be double acting with it screwed in tight.

Thank you Larry NKCS and Ford Farmer!
I have read many of your posts, and am grateful for your expertise!!
I am excited to read this valve will work with my blade!
I will clean the mounting surfaces, apply grease to the mating surfaces, and bolt her up!
Thank you very much!!

As Fordfarmer has said, turning the T handle in, and bottomed out should make it a double acting with the front port live with the handle back. This valve is also hydraulically load checked. In other words hydraulic oil pressure is needed (engine running) for the valve to function. No eezzing with this valve. Either up or down or neutral. That also creates the detent situation for the valve. In other words, the handle should kick back to the middle (neutral) when the cylinders reach the end of there strock
