ford 4000 Decal question

I have a 63 4000 Diesel. I have seen these both with and without 'Diesel' in the hood decals. On unrestored units, they are no diesel. It seems to only show up on restored/painted units. I know a lot can happen in 60ish years. Mine has the PTO bulge on the right hood side, but is not a SoS. The mostly in tact decal on the left side does not have 'Diesel' on it. The other side is too faded to read anything but 4000. And the sheet metal may be from a different tractor, or it may have had a tranny swap.

Here's one that looks original without the 'Diesel.'

So what is correct?

Since the blue back ground has faded out on that tractors decal it would be near impossible to tell if the white diesel lettering is still there.
I'd put the diesel decal on it.
To keep from having to make two right side hood panels Ford stamped all of the later hoods with the SOS pto bulge

I've only had my '64 4000 for 14 years, so don't know it's previous history. However here are photos. The tractor is in near the same condition it was when I bought it. The last pic is just for fun. LOL

Got a better look at the decal on the left side the other day. It in fact does say Diesel. It is mostly hidden behind the air cleaner. Thanks guys!
