3 bottom plow

Bought a ford 3 point 3 bottom plow today it is a series 101 component 10-43 serial 7455 it is red but the 3rd bottom is blue would this be 2 bottom
added on to make it a 3 bottom the coulters are also blue .

The only difference between a two bottom and a three bottom is just the added beam. I once caught a two bottom on a railroad track and straightened one beam. I bought a beam from a dealer that had removed it from a three bottom.

About the railroad track incident. At the time the lift on my tractor wasn't working well and the plow wasn't far off the ground. My wife was in town and supposed to bring me gas. She hadn't got home so I was just going to road my tractor to the gas station. When I went across the railroad track the tractor bounced and the rear plow share went under the track. Fourth gear to a dead stop. The plow beam was the only major damage. It was a wonder it didn't tear the whole rear end out of the tractor. That was more than 40 years ago and the tractor is still here and o.k.

Scott, did your air bag deploy?

Center of draft would be different as well. I'm not sure how easily adjustable that is on the 101 plow.
