Need wiring diagram for my 1821 industrial

Trying to wire up fuel gage on this beast.. there is no wiring to the gage now but the float is there. On this gage there is a + and - connection plus a connection marked S. Also generator light stays on all the time so not sure that is wired right. Any help would be appreciated

could be + to positive switched voltage source, - to ground, S to tank sending unit

Generator light on all the time indicates charging system is not working

I tried it that way rvirgil and it reads the opposite of what it should read. Probably the gage is not right for that sending unit. I took apart the generator and one of the brush springs was busted. I found and old one and got it working now
