ROPS for 1970 Ford 3000 tractor

(quoted from post at 12:38:49 09/23/21) Want to purchase a ROPS for a 1970 Ford 3000 tractor.
Your help will be appreciated.
Thanks :)

I have a factor bar from a 4630. I know it will fit a 69 4000. Not sure if it will work on a 3000. If you have the square tubes and gear reduction rear end I think it should.

Our hosts here at Yesterday's Tractors sells an after market ROPS that they say will fit a 3000.

There is also another site that I tried to provide a link to that sells after market ROPS for lots of different tractors, including the Ford 3000, but this site won't let me post the link due to them thinking it is a competitor of theirs. Copy the line below and paste it into your browser, but remove all of the spaces.

Then check out the National ROPS Rebate Program at the link below for assistance in paying for it:

I checked my 3000 Ford rear axels size and shape. They are square and are 5 inches on all 4 sides. The casting has a larger size on the outer ends for the fenders. I've seen a couple of pictures (rear
shots) of 3000 Fords with after market ROPS where the outer two holes of the plates fastening the bar to the axel are using the same slots that are cast in the end of the axel housing to accomidate the
fenders and the inward two holes of the plate were fastened to the axel housing closer to the tractor. It appeared to be a specially made plate, but did the job.
What size is the tractor you have? Is the bar for sale? How do you think it would be fastened to a 4000 model Ford? I have a friend with a 4000 and I could check to see how similar the axels are to the
3000.
Thanks and have a blessed day.

Ford 2000; 3 cyl. gas; 4/1 Trans. I will try to attach some pix of a ROPS mounting plate as well as the axle/fenders of my 1965 2000 since I understand that they are similar to your 3000. I bought my ROPS off of CraigsList for around $200 a couple of years ago. Got lucky on the fit and price. On the plate for the ROPS, the four outside holes are for mounting to the axle and the two inside holes are for attaching the fenders. You can sort of see their footprint on the top of the bracket. The angle bracket for the sway bars bolts up to the fender bolts on the bottom of the axle. Good luck with your ROBS. If I've gotten lucky, two pics are attached.

Thank you for the pics. That helps very much. I'll measure the distances as you have shown and then I'll know if the 2000 and 3000 have the same rear axel housing specs.
Thanks again, and be safe. God Bless

Parts site shows that the 3 cylinder 2000, 3000 & 4000 all used the same roll bar assembly, but the 4000 used different clamps than the 2000 & 3000 to clamp them to the axle.

Thank you again for more helpful info about the ROPS dimensions. Hope to measure our 3000 Ford this week with extra help after removing bush hog and having another set of eyes and brains working on this
task. Is the ROPS bar shown in the color pictures an item for sale? If so, does it come with safety belt, and brackets? Enjoy the new season and be safe.

No, the ROPS is not for sale. I bought a used ROPS that had a shelter frame welded to it but sold that one and found another which was bare and came with a mounting plate. Did the drawing from the first one. The part number came from the label riveted to one of the uprights.
