My Grandfather has a ford 6000. He has had issues with the hydraulics in the couple years. he just bought a new used pump. still nothing. we have tried a lot things and we have tried sectioning off stuff. I believe we have concluded thats its an issue up front. Hes cleaned the filters and drained and bled the system multiple times and we are just confused. If anyone know of any issues that may have occurred tell us please. We are so frusterated and want it done before winter. Thanks

A 6000 has a rather complex hydraulic system, especially for its time. The device attached to the pump is an unloader valve that basically tells the pump when to turn on and off. Sounds like it might be as simple as a stuck unloader valve.

I would suggest you find a manual for your tractor and look at the troubleshooting section for more information on the location of the unloader as well as how to remove and/or adjust it.

years ago I had to tap my unloader valve with a 3 lbs. beater to get it to function. I tore that valve apart a dozen times. Some
times it would work for a while, last time not at all. Always a messy job. I bought a complete pump with unloader from Bad Axe
Marty and it has worked ever since.
