So i believe i narrowed down a front end leak to the front crankshaft seal.
A few questions for you guys
1. Im chasing a front end leak i suspect is the front crankshaft seal. Anything else it could be from the governor housing?
2. Since gaskets are relatively cheap and i would like to have most things on hand as i tear into this. Is there a gasket for the governor housing? I have nothing shown in parts breakdown but listed on my parts catalog there is part# EAF 66022A(governor housing gasket) but not available anywhere. Only governor housing to cylinder gasket..
3. Is EAA6700B the neoprene front crankshaft seal the right part?
4. Assuming i possibly have a worn crankshaft where is the best place to get a repair sleeve? How exactly are they installed, Ive never done it. The one on yesterday tractors is $41.00 and i found one at napa ($10)but not sure if they can be cross referenced
5. Am i better off replacing the the older ball style governor with the newer centrifugal type for $91.. or replacing the ball bearings if that's the issue( takes quite a bit of throttle movement before upping throttle) also can't idle properly until about 900 rpms.
Anything else i should be looking for or aware of during this process?
