641 water pump

Managed to get my water pump off. Afraid getting it back on could be a problem. Would sure like some recommendations for putting it on without destroying something. Thanks, Norm.

If you don't want to hit the radiator you can cut out and put some soft foam in that area, maybe egg carton. It's easier without the fan mounted but then the fans a pain to put on. If you got a new aftermarket pump try to bolt it up without the fan first. The last 2 I did required some grinding away of the casting so it would bolt up flat without binding. If you need a little help holding it up you can loop some baling twine around it and tie it to the fuel cap when you get it close to position.
