6V Electronic iginition

Does anyone have a Pertronix (or any other good brand name) model/part number for an electronic conversion kit for a '63 (4 cyl) gasoline engine? Thanks!

I did the Pertronix conversion on my 2 801'a for 6V pos ground. I got chastised here for not not converting to 12V first. I am sorry I don't have the part numbers; I recommend calling Pertronix directly. The conversion works well and I would do it again.

I set the carbs with a color tune glass spark plug; wish I had one 50 years ago.

Best to go to the Pertronix site and look around or ask them. My mantra has been if the company can't or won't offer great Tech Support and customer service, I pass
and move on. It doesn't matter if you have on your FORD the 6V/POS GRN; 12V/NEG GRN; 12V/NEG GRN w/ a 12V Generator & Voltage Regulator; 6V or 12V Electronic Ignition;
front or angle mount distributor setup; or dylithium crystals, the important fact is whatever system that is used IS WIRED CORRECTLY for that system. If you don't know
how it was wired originally, and that is where your ESSENTIAL MANUALS and tech data come into the equation, how do you figure on changing it? Many fellas don't know the
6V/POS GRN system, get into trouble when they start monkeying around with the electronics with no clue on what they are doing, and end up with the same (non-starting)
problem or worse and the guessing continue. 99.98% (Six Sigma) of all non-starting issues are due to incorrect wiring. Know too, that EI will eliminate teh need to use
points, but if not wired correctly will fry the system and you are out a few hundred bucks. Many times the root cause of non-starting is due to a weak or dead battery.
The battery is the heart of all tractor, car, and truck systems. Without the power source being on full a sustainable charge under load, ignition, running, and
charging. Simply taking your trickle charger and hooking it up for a few hours is a Quick-Fix, Band-Aid solution if it works at all. Jumping from an electrical source
like your car or truck only uses that source to start with, and the next day you have the same problem all over. Whichever unit you use, 6V or 12V, GEN or ALT, you MUST
have a fan belt tension device fastened in order to properly charge the battery. Get the correct battery cables for your system -6V uses HD thick as your thumb cables
and 12V uses the smaller diameter, like your car or truck cables with all connections clean, bright, and tight. Lastly, invest in a Float Charger like the DELTRAN
BATTERY TENDER to keep your battery on a full, sustainable under load, charge when vehicle is idle/parked and not in use for a few days or a week so it is ready to go
when you are.

TMI TPD I'm not interested in knowing anything except a model/part number for a 6V system. I'm like ErnieD. I'm not interested in converting to 12V. My 6V system is fine as it is . . . except for the points/condenser.

You make absolutely no sense whatsoever! I've had this tractor since 1974. Why in the world do you think I need to go back the person I bought it from 47 years ago?

Ha Ha... I 'm like Tim.. grumpy and growling this am... but...here is an example of a 6 volt system, so they do make em. Did I tell you that your mama wears combat boots?? Best Wishes.. Bill

I called PerTronix. About the time the rep came on the line, I'd found it on their website. Part number [b:cea6bcd60c]1244AP6[/b:cea6bcd60c] for a 4 cylinder Ford engine w/6V positive ground system . . . in case anyone's interested.
