Knoedler Seat

The 860 ,I have had for 45 years , has a Knoedler Floe-ride seat on it. I am trying to make it look like it did when it was sold. I was told some dealers put this seat , at customer request , on the Fords. I have two questions , what color was it and where does the Minneapolis-Moline Flote -ride decal go ?

On ours with original paint, the fame work is gray, the seat is black and the spring and shock are red
 
Thanks , that sounds about wright because most old Ford tractor seats were black. Does yours have a decal or was it only put the Minneapolis-Moline tractor ?
 
The DEARBORN/FORD Rest-O-Ride seat base I know was painted Ford Medium Grey, M13243 see brochure. NOTE that the R-O-R, MONROE EZ-RIDE, and Knoedler Seat ALL came with just the base and that you needed to remove your OEM spring and seat and placed you OEM Pan Seat on whichever base you had. OEM FORD Pan Seats and springs were painted FORD Semi-Gloss Black Enamel. Semi-Gloss IS NOT Flat Black. Check with George Bradish Tractor Parts, Latrobe PA, he may have your decal. The FORD R-O-R seat was standard equipment on every tractor beginning with the 800 Series. It is the better of them all. It's your tractor so you can paint it any color you like as the late Del used to say.
