Ford 5600 FEL question

They make an "hv4902 hydraulic adapter plate" that can be added and then you must hook up pressure and return and use an open center control for the loader... This will intercept the hydraulic flow and your control valves.... must return it for the rest of the tractor hydraulics to work. Then there is the hv5902 that is gives you the same power and return port, but also gives you a power beyond port..so it requires a more complex system

or get an acs valve that means its tied to your 3pt,

or use a two-way external hydraulic port if the tractor comes equipped.

Thanks for input

You probably realized this, but use short hoses coming from the first adapter sotxbill's talking about with a male connector on one and female on the other to connect to
the open center loader valve.

So you can hook them together if you take the loader and valve off and not be dead-heading your hydraulics.

I did the same with quick disconnects. Makes figuring out which lines to connect where a no-brainer when you put the loader back on as well.

Hi

I have a ford 6700 with what I believe is the same plate/valve (HV4902) between the standard Ford plate and the gearbox. Plate is running a loader which works.
I'm trying to figure out why both downstream remotes only have pressure on one side. For example, I connect my round baler and can lift the rear lid, cannot pull it closed beyond what gravity will do. If I swap the lines around I can pull it closed but not open.

Would you be open to posting a picture of how yours is installed? I can't find any installation instructions online and pulling what little hair I have left out.

The issue youre having is not likely caused by the 4902 adapter
The Ford remotes have a screw in the front of the valve that changes it from double action to single action
If that screw is turned out the valve is set for single action and will have no down pressure
Turning the screw in will change it to double action were it will have up and down pressure
If you have a dual remotes with two levers theres a smaller screw in the lower front that gives that spool a float action when turned out

Thanks for replying and I hope you'll help me navigate the final few steps on this one.

Might be easier to describe as text.

Two screws, flat screwdriver. Top Left in, top right partially out.
Middle blanks
Lower left for flat screwdriver, lower middle+right allen-key. Left is out a lot.

Bottom left screw is float, top right is single vs dual action?

Been fighting with how to upload or share a picture, this was as good as I could get it!

Went out and tested on my valve, turned out (and I hope it's like this when I try again later) that screwing the top left screw all the way out and tightening down the lock nut enabled dual action but only after going in and out a few times. Probably a little dirt in the system, which means I should do a filter and fluid change soon!

Thanks for the direction sir, you and a scholar and a gentleman.

Glad to hear it's starting to work for you
Sorry I was available yesterday afternoon, We were emptying out part of our poultry barns yesterday morning and baled hay till late in the evening

Like my dad says - a crappy day on the farm is better than any day in the office. Sounds like you're living the dream!
