Rear remote problems

Good morning,

On to the next problem in the 6610 saga. I have a Gen1 6610, with a single set of remotes. When I hook up an implement the top remote randomly kicks the hose out. If I switch the hoses around it still kicks the top one, so it is definitely a remote issue and not a hose issue. Are the rear remotes rebuildable?

If you have a Gen I tractor you likely have the lever style couplers. There was an update many years ago to convert them to a leverless style. It does take a special tool however to unscrew the outer retaining nut (the part the rubber boot slides over).

Bern, It is a Gen 1, I do have the lever style, There are no rubber boots though. I can grab some pics tomorrow and upload them. Do you think it is something simple or will I be in pretty deep?

Converting it over is fairly straightforward. You remove the lever, screw off the retaining nut #1A, pull the guts out and swap it with a new set.

The only time Ive seen them come out is when you dont push the lever back.
