My 1972 2000 3cyl gas has blue wheel centers on the non adjustable rims. I have looked at coutless pictures on the net of 2000s and the only one I see with blue centers
was on adjustable rims. Just wondering if this was ever standard on 1972 models. Thanks all.

Not sure I'm following you.
Are they one piece rims? Are they 24 or 28in?
I have seen one piece 24s but not one piece 28s.
Ford did change the color of the centers at least once. I think early they were blue and later gray.
Photo shows my first 3 cyl Ford. A 68 2000. I am certain the paint was all original on this tractor.
These were 28 in. but certainly adjustable.

I should have said non-spin out. Mine looks just like yours! So I will leave mine. The single color wheels look prettier when the tractor is clean. But that isn't very often for some users. Blue will show less dirt. Thanks for the pic and reply.

I've been told the blue centers started in 69 but I have a pair of early 69 wheels that are white centers
That said my 72 4000SU and 74 5000 both have blue centers
Ford switched back to white centers with the -600 series

This is my Basildon built 1966 2000 diesel with the original paint on the wheel center. Perhaps the three different factorys used what they had.

My brother bought a 3000 ford in 1968 that had power adjust rears that were the light gray color and had no trouble with either in the 22 years he ran it. He worked it really hard for what it was designed to do and it performed well. He never had an issue with the wheels, but three neighbors that bought 69 models had blue rear centers and all three had one or more crack and needed replacing.

65/68 wheels were gray or off white as some same, blue centers come out with the 69 or 70 models

My '73 4000 S-O-S started life as a state highway mower, so it was painted at the factory industrial yellow all over except for the wheels, which were entirely dark blue, much darker than the standard Ford tractor blue of the time, and it had matching dark blue stripes down both sides of the hood where the model number stickers should have been.
