4600 hydraulic cover removal, any tips?

My position control lever doesn't seem to be connected to anything internally so I'm going to take the cover off and have a look.

I know arms in lowest position. I've got remotes, are you taking that plate off or leaving it on? Aside from replacing the main gasket, anything else that should be replaced while I'm in there?

Yes remotes can be left on, kinda throws out of balance. There is a short tube with 2 orings, it will stay or come when lifting, Change both. leave hoses on valve unless have source for square section orings.

I take the remote valve off so I can tap that short transfer tube down with a punch. Getting the cover off with the tube attached is darn
near impossible.
