Fixing up my 1957 model 860. Trying to make the paint and decals as close as possible to how it came off the line. Iam having trouble
finding a good picture online, where the decals go. Anyone have clear picture of a 1957 860, that show factory decals. Mine has the HD front
end so where does that decal go ?

Your dogleg decals are too low, should be up closer to the horizontal line.

There's a good chance a 1957 with power steering had a POWERMASTER spinning gear decal. Best way to tell is to scrape down to the original paint and see if it's there but too late for that in your case.

I know the HEAVY DUTY FRONT END, 600,800 decal is shown in the parts book for 55/ but I'm not sure about that, maybe someone else knows.

I had a 641 with a 703 loader had a heavy duty front end. If I remember correctly the decal was on the lower section of the dogleg just above the horizontal line. I look for some photo but could not find them. Agree you other decal is too low.

Possibly my memory isn't what it used to be. Look at this elenco it's at the top. Being your decal is too low that's where I would place it.

That raises an interesting question ... if
the tractor had both power steering and
heavy duty front end were both
highlighted feature decals placed above
the model identification on the dogleg, or
only one?

In order to get closer to original see if you can come up with a little more red paint and paint your starter and genny. Also the seat and support should be black. The carburetor control rods were plated like the lug nuts. So they could be painted silver or you can get repops. It is looking beautiful so far!

I don't know about the HD decal but as mentioned, the seat and seat spring were painted FORD semi-gloss (NOT flat) Black Enamel. The OEM GEN and STARTER MOTOR were FORD Vermillion (RED). The exhaust manifold was too. Often when fellas took those components to a shop for rebuild some repainted them black. Is that spin-on oil filter? FWIW: FENDER FORD decals were also red. There would be a DRAFT/POSITION CONTROL decal under the lever; an OIL FILTER decal on the housing; a PTO WARNING decal on the rear diffy; a Top Link size adjustment decal on the OEM FORD Top Link; an air cleaner service decal on the air cleaner; and possibly a vented gas cap decal and a PROOFMETER decal. Contact George Bradish Tractor Parts in Latrobe, PA for most all FORD TRACTOR decals and if you call him, he and wife Brenda are great people to chat with. George would be able to tell you for sure which ones were on your 860.

Thanks to everyone for the replys. I will try to answer all in this reply. I did sand down my sheet metal. I found the 860,power steering and some of the other you mentioned. I did find the Powermaster Gear decal on mine , but thought late 57 with the serial number 133441 was not called Powermaster , so I didn't add it ? As far as the seat , it is a Knoedler that were added by some dealers to better the ride. They was made for Minneapolis Moline . Trying to get the MM decal for the seat.
I did order decals from George Bradish Tractor and I will be calling them again, to ask about seat and Powermaster decal.

I didn't think the Powermaster/Workmaster nomenclature came out until the 01 series. Am I incorrect about that?

Powermaster (but not Workmaster) nomenclature came out during the 1957 model year. Below is an example of an introductory advertisement.

I did find the (POWERMASTER) with spinning gear on the side panels, so it looks like it was on the 860 in 1957. Plus I have seen several ads for the 1957 with the decals
