Ford 600 generator oil question

On my 600 134 gas motor I noticed that the generator was tipped so that the oil inlet at the back was tilted down so that the oil won't make it to the wick.. the belt length measures 41 .5 in which I think is correct. Is this the way it is on other similar machines or do I have something wrong. The adjustment bolt for the generator belt tension is right in the center of the slot when the belt is tight. Thanks

I just now went out to look at the generator that I removed from my NAA. Guess what, it doesn't have an oil cup. Makes me think someone put some other generator on you 600.

(quoted from post at 15:25:41 08/25/21) The oil inlet and wick are on the side of the generator closest to the engine block.
ind of looks like this from 600-800 owner's manual and advises oil gen every 200 hours, but does not specify the "how". Parts book shows 10141-A cover assy, generator rear plate oil hole.

Odds are the gen has been rebuilt in it's lifetime with sealed bearings / oilite bushings. Should be fine without additional lubrication till its next rebuild
