Help with identifying my new Ford 9000?

Hello all,

Wellppp, I got another one. This time a bign.

I found the following info inside a toolbox lid.

Tractor Number C324791
Model H2018M
Unit 2A20B
Engine 1M09A
Transmission 1K27B
Hyd Pump 2A20B
Rear Axle 1K28B
Hyd Lift 1J30B

The AC is not hooked up, but the glass is all good.

Really needs newer rear tires, anybody have a used set of 18.4-38's laying around they want to sell?

Thanks

Too Many Tractors Tom

Model H2018M - H20 is a 9000 series, and it should be the row crop chassis model in the series. It should have a diesel engien and independent 1000 rpm PTO and an 8 speed with dual power

Unit 2A20B - says it was assembled on January 2, 1972 during the day shift.

Tractor Number C324791 is the serial niumber, Tractordats as well as other places claim that is a late 1971 serial number, but the Unit number is more accurate than those "it's on th einte4rnet so it has to be right" sites.

The rest are the assembly dates for the major components:

Engine 1M09A December 9, 1971 day shift
Transmission 1K27B October 27 1971 day shift
Hyd Pump 2A20B Jan. 2 1972 day shift
Rear Axle 1K28B Oct. 28 1971 day shift
Hyd Lift 1J30B Sep. 30 1971 day shift

(quoted from post at 18:38:01 08/22/21) Those are some monster rear weights.

I think they are steel pipes filled with concrete. Never seen anything like them before. It has the hubs for duals but only came with the single spin-out rims with really really bad tires on them. Looking for any used tires right now just to keep from having to air them up every day.

18.4x38s are pretty common, check all the tractor tire shops for take offs... usually one tire is toast and the other tire is still fair, but both get replaced. Or check craigslist... lots of orphaned duals out there.

Great looking tractor Are the intake and exhaust stacked
placed side-to-side? Is that their original place? Seems like that
would block a lot of vision out the front.

I have cab envy.[/quote]

Haha. First time anyone has had envy of anything I drug home.

And those rear outside weights are not concrete filled steel pipes, they are solid iron! So this thing has monstous inside and outside weights on the backend.

The engine does sound sweet though.

The OEM intake would have been just above the hood surface.

Would you happen to have a pic of that original? Google is not cooperating.

Also need some 18.4-38 tires for the back. Prefe used till I figure out if I'm keeping it.
