Power Steering Fluid

The original owners manual calls for ATF type F but the newer universal dextron type works just fine. I use it in my 841S which is the same series as your tractor is

The power steering has the lowest spec of any oils used in the tractor. Any atf, utf, power steering fluid will work fine and exceed the original fluid. In a pinch you can also use motor oil.

AND... since the power steering does not have wet clutches or wet brakes, yes, you can use fluids that are NOT approved for the rest of the tractor, like dextron or motor oils with anti-friction additives. DO NOT USE dextron in other parts of the tractor were wet brakes or clutches are in use, or SOS transmissions as they will start to slip!!!
