I've searched on here for my issue but haven't found anything that helped. I have a 53 ford jubilee. She sat for the last 4 or 5 months and now won't start after running and starting well. I put new fuel in the tank and a little bit in each spark plug hole assuming i had a fuel issue. But she wouldn't start. I pulled each plug and checked with a light tester and i dont have spark. Swapped out ballast resistor with one i had and same issue. Tested resistance in both ballast resistors and its .5 ohms. I couldn't find anywhere what that should be. Hooked those wires to bypass resistor and Checked plug against engine and in 5 seconds of trying saw one faint yellowish spark appear. Pulled coil wire tested that against engine also same issue. It almost seemed to fire but wouldn't continue Tested from battery positive to coil and i have nothing. I'm a newbie working my way around with a multimeter so I'm not entirely positive if I'm doing it right. I pulled the distributor cap and everything looks OK except the dust cover. The center is broken out but i don't think that effects performance does it? Points Gap looked ok but i didn't measure it. Not great at electrical issues but with you're help i know i can figure this out
