Ford 1710 front steering linkage bent? Can you check you

Hi All,

Ford 1710 4 wheel drive. Just finished discing down weeds in our property in Southern California. Driving the tractor back to the barn, and the front end looks funny. The wheels are both like 10 degrees toed out. Did not hit the front steering linkage rod with anything, but went through a couple of deep ruts. Attached is a picture of the linkage and ends Seems to me it was always bent a bit, but this much? No fresh scuff marks, paint removed, or dings on the rod. Is it supposed to be straight over the entire length?

Thanks if you can check your 1710 or similar steering rod and tell me the amount of curve yours has. Not too sure how I am going to straighten it out, but first things first.

when I had to do this, after getting it as straight as I could, I always laid it in a piece of angle and ran a couple of beads down it for reinforcement

Hi Bern, Bob57, and JoeM(GA). Thanks! Here is the link after beating it in to submission and welding angle on two sides. Toe in very easy to adjust after cleaning out the threads and a touch of fresh grease. Painted it Ford blue after installation. A touch of red spray paint on the end that has the backwards threads. Tractor is back to work and my farmer tan has never looked better!
