Having a hard time figuring out where to start to maybe take back the hydraulic pump shaft to install new fan belt .. Tractor has a loader as well and what seems to be brush/ motor guard and such. It is an industrial diesel .

Thanks in advance

You should.... unmount the front pump, disconnect the spider coupler, and try like heck.. to pull the pump back/ sideways enough to get the shaft out.... If you cant, then you have to drain the hydraulic pump and disconnect the hoses to pull the pump back futher to get the pump shaft out.....

Then... buy only.... a very very very high quality belt, not a 3 dollar cheapie... as you dont want to do this again next year.

10.4 on the quality belt, maybe even figure a way to tie wrap a second one on there if possible, thanks.

My 3000 has the 730 loader on it. I can move the pump enough without taking the hard line off to get the coupler off the pump shaft. If that helps. I dont know how far forward you need to move the shaft to get the belt off. In my case I can move the shaft forward about 4.
When I was just doing a generator to alternator conversion I was wondering how people change the belt on these loader tractors. Seems like a pain for such a simple part to change.
