What are those tubes for?

Hi guys,

I've just tried to attach to my Ford 5000 a 3-point blade for the first time and I've discovered that the links can't go close enough, because there are some vertical tubes installed right next to the PTO, as pointed to by the arrows in the pictures.

Does anybody have any idea what are those for? They are bolted right into the axle case (looks like into factory-predrilled and tapped holes).

Thanks,
Jaroslav

Homemade sway bars. Take off. The sway bars for that tractor hooks to brkt on axle hsg and pin on side where flex link latch is. Them arms are pricey. This site has them. They come in RH and LH.

Those are factory drilled and tapped holes, but there's nothing in them from factory. The brackets are not factory because those welds are
clearly not factory quality.

Awesome! Thank you guys for the help.

The thing's gotta go, which was my original thought.

Keep them handy. You may find that they do a much better than the bars with certain implements.

Im going to guess they are rub blocks/ sway blocks that keep your three point at a cat 2 width.

I will guess you have a cat 1 blade, so those blocks have to be taken off. I would put them in a corner, you might find them useful if you get and bigger cat 2 equipment.

What I am thinking as well. Might help to have a couple cut shorter for cat one to help keep your blade centered when turning corners.

A little off topic here, but does anyone know where I can find a good set of inside lift arm chains and brackets for my 6610? It came with a nice set of stabilizer bars on the outside, but those tend to be rigid. I was hoping to run chains on some of my other implements.

The chains I would love to find are similar to the photo shown in the OP's picture
