What does report to moderator do

I accidentally created a duplicate post on a topic I created. I tried to report to the moderator so that the duplicate could be removed and nothing has happened. Also, no other posts have occurred.

I was hoping to here more about rebuilding the 172 ci engine on my 850.

Report to moderator is usually only used to
report spam or inappropriate posts.
If the double post bothers you a lot it is
better to go to the list of forums here and
ask on the Site Comments forum.
Myself, I would not bother.
We have all double posted before and it is
not a big deal.
 

When I occasionally post a topic twice I just edit the text to no words except "OOPs double post".One must be on Modern view to be able to edit ones thread. I very rarely utilize Classic view so that's not an issue for me.
 
Best to invest in The ESSENTIAL MANUALS for your 850; the best tools you can have for your tractor. Get originals or copies of the 600/800 Owner/Operator's Manual, the CLYMER/I&T FO-20 Manual, and the '53-'59 MPC (Master Past Catalog) if'N ya wanna be a FORD TRACTOR owner. Engine rebuild info is detailed in the FO-20 and the MPC holds a wealth of info. You can learn the basics as well as PM and complete R&R from these. As far as duplicate posts go, don't sweat the petty stuff, or, don't pet the sweaty stuff, whichever you prefer.
