Jubilee hydraulic problem

I have a 1954 Jubliee. The hydraulic three point started to settle a couple of inches. Then it would jerk back up into place. It has been getting rapidly worse. Now it jerks up into place rapidly. Can anyone help me with this problem.? Is it something I can fix myself or will I need to take it to a tractor repair place. If so, about how much will it cost to have it fixed.? thank you very much for your help.

My guess is that the seals in the lift
piston under the top cover are leaking
badly. Makes the 3 point drift down and
then the position control linkage senses
the drift and compensates for the drop.
It is actually a pretty simple repair and a
complete seal kit with top cover gasket is
only about $30 from this site.
Can you fix it yourself?
Without knowing your skill level, wrenching
experience, tools owned, native curiousity,
spatial aptitude, gumption and if you have
a repair manual for your tractor
that question is impossible for us to
answer.

Get an I&T FO-19 and dig in. Below is an excerpt for dealing with bobbing.

I imagine having a dealer or shop fix the problem would be expensive because of
labor and the oldness of the tractor. If you could find someone who works on old
tractors as a semi-hobby that might work.
