UPDATE I found it in a book.

Does anyone know the part number for the PTO seal on a 1969 4000 3cyl diesel? Mine started leaking pretty bad last night so I was going to call the local NH dealer and see if they had one.

Could you not find it or just looking for the easy way.

Took me less than 2 minutes, NH # D9NN703BB

Well Im new to these tractors and I kept finding 2 different part numbers. I ended up finding an old book I had on Ford tractors and it had the part number that the NH dealer confirmed.

Which exact drawing were you looking at and which exact part number did you find? The parts drawings have an identifier at the beginning of the drawing name, like 07D02, 07L03, etc. Which exact drawing were you looking at?

And which transmission does your tractor have? I know that the dual speed PTO on the Select-O-Speed transmission models was definitely different than the rest, and there may have been others. The 8 speed transmission with independent 540 rpm PTO was the most common, and the PTO seal for that is the part number that Destroked provided.
