Borderline Overheating

Just a old school trick for a older tractor with a Copper/Brass Radiator. Not sure if it will help with anything such as aluminum.

If your tractor has been running warm, and is now borderline hot, heres a couple of tricks I learned years ago in the radiator shop.
1. Clean the outside fins. If they are dirty- recommend you spray hot soapy water on them, let them sit, and rinse with a garden hose. At most I might consider scrubbing with a soft bristle brush
2. Drain your antifreeze. If you don't recall the last time you changed it, plan on replacing with new. If it looks muddy/rusty, replace with new.
Fill with water, run engine till hot. Shut off engine, drain water.
Go to the Grocery store and buy 2-3 gallons of White Vinegar. Fill radiator with Vinegar. Operate normally for a day or so, but take care not to overheat. At the end of the days operation, drain radiator. Have seen several cases where the vinegar looked like chocolate milk while draining. Fill with water, run till hot, Drain. Repeat until the water runs clear from the drain- typically takes 2-3 times.
Fill with your normal antifreeze mix
