I just purchase a tractor at auction. It
says it's a Fird 2000 on the engine cover
but when I look up the
Serial/model/production codes they don't
add up. If anyone could help it would
greatly be appreciated.
I do know that it is a 3 cyl diesel
engine.

6F15B is the production date which means it was built June 15 1966
The A in the serial number means it was built in Antwerp, Belgium.
There's very little info on UK or Belgium serial numbers
I don't see the model code but it may be farther back in the rough area, being a 66 model a 2000's model code should be a 210???
Post a photo of the tractor

It does look like a 1965-1968 2000. With the two shifters it's most likely got a 6 speed or maybe an 8 speed transmission. If you post a picture of the clutch pedal linkage, someone here could probably tell you whether it's got live or non-live PTO.

For the model number, look on the similar flat spot on the left side of the tractor, and as Destroked said, look farther up into the rough part of the casting from the numbers you already found. They didn't always follow the rules when stamping the numbers on those early European 3 cylinder models.

Im going to say it is a 2000 since it has a CAV injection pump
The early 3000s used a SIMS inline pump
