3000 Ford Carb

I just bought a 1968 3000 Ford 3 cylinder gas. I am trying to order a carburetor kit. My IT manual covers the Holley carb but this is a Zenith. Did they use both or has this one been changed? I see Zenith kits offered but do I need a number from the carb?

Thanks
Jeff

No. The Zenith carb is an aftermarket replacement that has been installed by a previous owner.

The tractor originally came with a Holley carb, but Ford specced a Zenith as a replacement at some later date after the thousand series was no longer made. I'm not sure of the exact date, but after whatever date it was, they no longer sold Holley replacement carbs for the 3 cylinder thousand series and only sold Zenith carbs as replacements. They did the same with the M-S carbs on the 1955-1964 4 cylinder tractors as well.

Thanks so much for all the information. I can not see a tag on the carb, but I have not removed it yet. it is not on the outside but may be
tucked up on the back side hard to see. Tractor is running rich.
