Ford 3000 front axle bolts frozen

I am replacing the front L/H axle knee on my 1972 Ford tractor, but have run into a stone wall.

I managed to remove the steering radius rod from the left front axle, but the bolts holding the left axle to the center axle will not budge. I've managed to get the nuts loose but the bolts won't turn, not even with a 6' cheater bar - and, I haven't been able to drive them out with a 10 pound sledge. They appear to be rusted and frozen tight. Could they possibly be bent?

My only two options seem to be: heating the axle with an acetylene torch, then trying to drive them out, OR, replacing the whole front axle?

Also, where can I get replacement bolts?

Any ideas???

They get rusted in there sometimes.
Heat the bolts up on both ends with the
torch then use a sledge hammer and slug
them out.
Bolts can be purchased at any hardware
store. Just measure the length. Buy grade 5
or better.
I think the original bolts were fine thread
but coarse thread will be fine.

Thanks.

I was going to try to heat up the axle (so it would expand) - not the bolt ends. But I'll try heating the bolts first.

Heating the bolt will cause it to expand against the inside of the colder hole in the axle which will stretch the hole just a little, and when the bolt cools down it will contract and the slightly stretched hole in the axle won't.
