Introduction, I didnt find an Intro forum.
Hey all: My name is Bryan, and I live in Kansas. My wife and I own a few tractors and use them mainly to mow and work around our small farm. I hope to learn and contribute to this forum.

Welcome to the wonderful world of FORD TRACTORS, Brian. You introduce yourself simply by posting so consider yourself a 'member'. There are no silly annual membership dues, secret handshakes, or magical decoder rings. Being a newbie or even if you are an 'oldie', the best tools you can invest in are THE ESSENTIAL OWNER/OPERATOR/PARTS/SERVICE MANUALS. Get them and read religiously and before you do any wrenching or operating and certainly before you start buying new parts and replacing. If you don't know if the part is defective or not, simply replacing with new may or may not correct. It is always best to have the OEM part rebuilt rather than buy anything new made in Cheena as well, like FORD intended. A true root cause problem solving method is the correct, logical way to proceed with any problem. You can tell us what model of tractors you have to start with and a bit history and the application you use them with. The CLYMER/I&T Repair manuals and an OEM Owner manual is a good place to start. The MPC (Master Parts Catalog)for each tractor is also required reading. All of these can be found as OEM used originals or as new repop copies sold everywhere. Ask questions, search out the archives too as virtually every topic has been covered at some point here before. SAFETY is #1 Priority so know what the DO's and DONT's are before you do damage to your machine, or worse, yourself. See ya in the funny papers.... ; > )

Hello as well from central KS. Tim forgot to tell you about the double secret initiation everyone goes through. Just watch the posts and begin posting on the tractor forum for a while and eventually you'll get yours.
