Hello all. I spent the day researching the forum and I wanted another opinion on what my course of action should be. I have a 172 Diesel engine and was looking at using a spin on filter housing with water separator. I see a lot of people use a two filter housing with a primary filter around 20-40 microns and a secondary filter up to 10 microns. I have a 1962 standyne/ roosamaster pump and a single filter housing. My tractor is a loader so I didn't want a lot of space going to filters. Would a single filter like a Wix 33005 be ok? It is a 3 micron filter. Or should I just use a 10 micron filter? Or should I use a two filter setup?
My thoughts were just to use a single water separator 3 micron filter and be done.
Thank you!
