961 Boom pole

Bought a like new boom pole over the weekend just for moving some bulkier heavy stuff around when needed. The P.O. said it was just too much for his Kubota garden tractor. Is there any lifting advantage of having the pins mounted facing in at 24" or maybe that's all his Kubota would spread. If I turn them both around, the lift arms would be right around the 28" mark. Just curious if he did it for any other reason. This one is 96" in total length with a loop at the tip and one about 24" back. Say's it's rated for 1000# so I'm assuming that's the rear loop. Anything heavier than that I'm calling for help anyway. Thanks!

That was done to fit a category 0 hitch. Reverse pins for use with your tractor.

I have an identical boom pole. It is rated 500 Lbs. on the short loop and 750 at the end.

As Dean said, was reversed for small tractor. I would turn back to normal if nothing for ease of inserting pins and less chance of getting the fingers involved with a oh darn situation!

(quoted from post at 01:18:28 07/27/21) I have had the same cheap King Kutter boom
pole for 20 years.
They will lift a lot more than they're
rated for.

Been there done that. I have the tractor supply version and it has impressed me in both capacity and how handy they are.
