Bringing Back The Jubilee

Did my best to bring this Jubilee back to as close to original as I could.

If you want it to look really original go get some more red paint and paint the starter and genny and get some new lug nuts. Beautiful job though! it is very uncommon to see those work lights.

I faced the same dilemma with my 6000. Even though I wanted it to be as stock as possible, I didn't want to paint everything on the engine blue, especially the exhaust manifold since it wouldn't stay blue for very long. I had the exhaust manifold media-blasted and had a company apply a high-heat black to it as well as the exhaust pipe. I then painted the genny and the starter gloss black. I've since worked it very hard and the exhaust manifold has since dulled slightly, but is still very much black.

Del, my vote would be to leave it as you have it.

You done a beautiful job on the NAA Del. But if you are trying for originality, in my book, the generator, starter and carburetor need to be red and the wheel nuts cadmium colored. But it is your tractor, so you did what you liked. GREAT

Like Del said, it is a Safety Warning Badge Lockout device for the Lift Quadrant Control. Why? When using the Drawbar and Stay Bars, the lift is set at a certain height and locked in. You don't want to raise the 3-PT as it will damage the lift and pump. Every N Tractor came with a parts shipping kit, Stay bars and Warning Lockout Chain Assembly included. If you had the Essential Manuals this information is listed in the OEM Owner's/Operator's Manual and the FO-4 Manual.

She's super nice! I always thought the Jubilee was the best looking old Ford there was. Leaving the generator and starter black like they should be adds a nice contrast.

M-MAN, Del's tractor is beautiful. Go on You Tube and watch "New Ford tractor 1953".

While it's nice & purdy..... take it out into a field with nothing in the background but crops. Take the formal pictures out there so as not to distract the viewer's eye. They look good out there. Pictures with random items in the background distract the viewer.

Nice job, by the way.

Del, I've seen your work before & knew you did great work! Looks like you haven't lost your touch!
My Jube is only 1/2 right. The starter is red but the Gen is black!

Didn't damage the pump or lift, but did turn my stay bars into pretzels! :( Didn't have rolling bar either.

Beautiful job. I have my grandfather's Jubilee that I grew up on and what I learned to square bale hay with. I am torn between a full resto or leave it as is in all it's glory. I put it in a parade in 2019 and I as the only Ford tractor which at the time it was my only one. Now I have a 981 SOS tricycle, a 961 diesel wide front, and a 4000 with a Uniloader. First picture is 1980s when my grandfather painted it. Second picture is me 2019 in the parade. I just like the look of the old weathered tractors, but a nice shiny new paint looks great too.
