Jubilee Starting Issue

Finishing up bringing back a Jubilee and have an issue starting. Turn on the key and hit the starter button and
nothing happens. Jump the hot wire on the solinoid to the small terminal and it will start. Jump the hot wire to
the terminal on the starter button and it will start. Is my problem the solinoid or the starter button. Or do I
have another problem? Thanks

Did you replace the solenoid? I think you have the wrong kind. The Jubilee uses a solenoid that activates by grounding the small terminal. I think you have one that activates by applying battery voltage to the small terminal.

Upside down sort of but likely to have the battery cable on the wrong side and the start on the wrong side so swap it

Old and Del are right - it's upside down.
Made me think, had to draw out the circuit
to see how it would behave if upside down.
Sure enough that's it.

Yes those solenoids have a battery side and starter side. Mix them up and they don't work correctly

That was the problem Andy.It was mounted wrong. Thanks for pointing out that it was not right I am gong to have to take more pictures when I tear into these things.
