Ford 640 Front Axle Support Identification

While working on my front axle support, I realized the pivot pin was not actually connected. It is too small to thread into the back of the housing, but the front is perfect. Is this a heavy duty front axle that requires a bigger pivot pin? How can the two ends be different in the same housing for a solid pin? Thanks for your help!

HD pin is 1 3/4 inches. I can tell your
pin is worn heavily near the end.
Support hole probably is too. Other than
that I don't know what you have going
on.
