Bern; Do you know the size of the spline ended tubing wrench for the fittings on the injection pump on the TW 30s. And where to get one. I used to have one, but think I loaned it out and it didn't come back home. Don't remember where I got it originally.

I don't have a wrench, but I do have a 1/2 drive socket. It says TS9 on it, but like you, I don't know where it came from. The ID of the splines is about .715, and I'm guessing it has at least 40 something splines (I'm not going to count them).

I have no idea where a person would find one. Perhaps Dieseltech or Al Baker would know. If you strike out there, get back to me and we'll see if there's a way I can get mine in your hands to borrow. I don't use mine but maybe once a year.

Thank you for the offer. I wanted the tubing wrench to use as a back up when tightening the injector lines. Many moons ago, I broke the top out of an injection pump on a Super Major, when I was trying to break a line loose. The chewing I got from the gentleman that was training me as an apprentice, kept me from sitting down for quite a while.

Got busy and never did get up to SVC to see your 6000, but enjoyed the video of it raking.

There are a number of spanners and sockets on e-bay at a reasonable price but none like the one we used to use. It was a flat rectangular shape with a notch cut in the splined end to allow it to fit over the injection pipe, then down onto the splines of the delivery valve. A 1/2 square drive socket was on the other end for a torque wrench. Think it was a Churchill Tool.

Even with the clamps fitted, I have managed to loosen a few when the pipe fitting is extra tight.
