Ford 5000 3pt Problem

I have noticed on a Ford 5200 the 3pt hitch lever seems to only have about an inch of adjustment. The handle will move about two inches down before it starts lowering and about another inch later the lift arms will be all the way down, with plenty of room for the handle to keep going before it reaches the bottom. What would cause this, just wore out?

Is the small lever near the base of the 3 point control handle in position or draft mode?

I dont have a small lever near it(that I know of), the next lever is the for the remote valve.

Sorry, title of your thread said 5000, I just noticed that in the text of your first post you said it is a 5200. I'm not sure where they relocated the draft/position selector on that model due to the platform, but it should have one and hopefully someone else who knows where it is located will come by soon and fill you in.
